getting started....

so...this is my last week in Switzerland....next Wednesday I'll be on a plane heading to Peru. Soo excited!

Yesterday was my official Goodbye-Party though...and it was also when I realized that I'm actually leaving and won't see my friends for a really long time. Can't tell what I feel like right now.
I really enjoyed spending time with my friends and everything was just wonderful but it made me so sad to know that this was the last time. And who knows what happens in a year and what things will be like when I come back home...

But actually I don't wanna think about coming home yet. I want to leave first! :)
So yesterday I finally got my Visa and the woman at the embassy was so sweet...she actually came from the city I am going to (Huancayo by the way....3260m over sea level^^) and she told me that it's really nice there even though they don't have central heating and it can get really cold up there. But never mind. I mean I live in the Alps.....I'm used to low temperatures...I asked her then how cold it would be...and she was like: "oh freezing cold...like 0°C at night in winter!" :) see...it's not THAT cold....at least compared to what we had here this winter...:)

Today I got told that there was a change in our flight plans...Swiss Airlines & TAM Airlines (the ones we were supposed to be flying with on the 1st of september...zurich-sao paulo-lima) randomly changed their plans for 2010 and cancelled our return flight...for whatever reason.... anyway...we're now leaving on the 2nd of september at 6.55 am from Zurich to Amsterdam and then from Amsterdam directly to Lima with KLM ( I heard they have like mobile phones on the planes you can use to send e-mails and text-messages for free.....I guess I might try that..^^). So I have to be at the airport in Zurich at 5 in the mornig, meaning I have to leave from Merligen at maybe 3:00 am. Kinda sucks because that way hardly anyone will be able to accompany me. :(

Anyway....I'm totally excited and really looking forward to finally see Peru and meet my host family which sounds awsome! So there are only two things left for me to do this week: packing & enjoy switzerland!

I'll keep you posted!

Hasta pronto Perú! :)
